Change of staff

Various staff changes coincided with our change of premises.

Chief Executive Officer

Rhona Alcorn
We are delighted to welcome our new Chief Executive Officer Dr Rhona Alcorn, who took up her post in early September.

A native Leither, Rhona is a part-time lecturer in Linguistics and English Language at the University of Edinburgh, where she also serves as Depute Director of the Angus McIntosh Centre for Historical Linguistics and as co-investigator on a research project tracking the evolution of Older Scots.

Rhona also brings extensive management experience from her earlier public sector career.

Administrator

We also have a new Administrator, Fiona Stewart, and we're very pleased to welcome her to the team. She started at SLD at the end of August, and is already getting to grips with the job after having been plunged in at the deep end.

Project Lead

Thomas Widmann, who has been working for us for some time on systems-related tasks and projects, has increased his hours with SLD and will work closely with Rhona and other members of the team on the technical side of various projects, and on improving our IT set-up.
